Jessy Schram (“Country at Heart”) stars in this new 2020 holiday musical romance as Vivienne Wake, a driven TV producer currently working on an upcoming country music Christmas special that showcases newcomer Alexis (RaeLynn). Although Vivienne prides herself on not letting personal issues interfere with work, she’s rattled when her childhood sweetheart Gavin Chase (Wes Brown) turns up as manager to another artist (Sara Evans) on the special. Three ghosts (Wynonna Judd, Kix Brooks and Kimberly Williams-Paisley) try to help Jessy get her life back on track.

Arizona high school principal David Morales (Mario Lopez) hasn’t been able to summon the Christmas spirit since losing his wife a few years ago during the holiday season. In fact, he moonlights as a seasonal delivery driver just to keep busy and not think about Christmas. As another yuletide approaches, however, David’s teenage daughter (Paulina Chávez) and live-in sister (Marycarmen Lopez) vow to bring Christmas back into their home, a plan that may enlist the help of Sophie (AnnaLynne McCord), a musician on David’s delivery route.

Founded in 1989 in Miami, the Grammy-winning American country music band The Mavericks always has lived up to its name by combining Tex-Mex, Latin, rockabilly and non-traditional country influences into a sound that’s like no other, yet highly accessible. This new episode finds the group taking things a step further as they perform numbers from their first-ever all-Latin format release “En Español.” Songs include “La Sitiera,” “Recuerdos,” “Cuando Me Enamoro” and “Mujer.”

Writer-director Paul Schrader’s deep 2018 drama casts “The Good Lord Bird” star Ethan Hawke as a pastor at an upstate New York church that is situated along the Underground Railroad and about to mark a milestone. He’s forced to face his troubled past when a pregnant member of his ever more sparse congregation (Amanda Seyfried) seeks his help, triggering a shocking attempt by him to resolve his own crisis of faith. Cedric Kyles, Victoria Hill and Philip Ettinger also are featured.
