9 p.m. ET on A&E – Season Premiere

Veteran journalist Dan Abrams returns as host as this suspenseful unscripted series launches its fourth season. Each live three-hour episode shines a light on the hot-button issue of policing in America by presenting a transparent look at law enforcement on duty. Incorporating dash cams along with fixed rig and handheld cameras, the series captures the work of a mix of urban and rural police forces on typical Friday and Saturday nights. Tom Morris Jr. and Sgt. Sean “Sticks” Larkin provide additional analysis.

10 p.m. ET on PBS – Season Premiere

The new documentary “Porvenir, Texas,” from filmmakers Andrew Shapter and Christina Fernandez reveals the grim incidents that unfolded in the early morning hours of Jan. 28, 1918, in the titular border town, where a group of 15 males — fathers, uncles, brothers and sons — was taken out and executed. Soon thereafter, the surviving family members fled the community. Who were the killers and why did they commit this horrific act? The film launches Season 3 of this Latino Public Broadcasting arts and culture series.

10 p.m. ET on SYFY – Series Finale

When this series premiered in 2015, it was a pretty straightforward, action-driven space opera, but starting with Season 2, the cast and writers began building a rich, complex world populated by complicated characters, with an interesting mythology and dialogue that crackles with genuinely witty banter. “Killjoys” goes out at the top of its form tonight with the series finale “Last Dance,” in which Dutch (Hannah John-Kamen) uses Khlyen (Rob Stewart) to bait The Lady, initiating a final showdown. Aaron Ashmore and Luke Macfarlane also star.
