High School Musical: The Musical: The Series

8 p.m. on ABC – Series Premiere

This new series spinoff from the blockbuster Disney musical franchise will run on Disney Plus, the highly anticipated new streaming service launching on Nov. 12, but to give potential fans a taste, ABC — along with Disney Channel and Freeform — previews the first episode tonight. The series, which is designed to appeal to both longtime “High School Musical” fans as well as newcomers, features both new and familiar songs, performed by 10 new main characters, portrayed by Joshua Bassett, Olivia Rodrigo, Kate Reinders and Matt Cornett, among others.


The Blacklist

8 p.m. on NBC

Red (James Spader) alerts his FBI liaisons to the suspicious death of a scientist who specialized in artificial intelligence (AI) research, in the new episode “Dr. Lewis Powell.” Elsewhere, Francesca Campbell (guest star Natalie Paul) manages to entangle herself even further in Red’s criminal exploits. Laila Robins, Coy Stewart and Teddy Coluca also guest star; Megan Boone, Diego Klattenhoff and Harry Lennix also star.



9 p.m. ET on CW

In the new episode “Mother? I’m at La Mirage,” Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) sets aside concerns over Liam (Adam Huber) and refocuses on her former business, while Blake (Grant Show) gives Adam (Sam Underwood) some attention of his own. Elsewhere, despite Culhane’s (Robert Christopher Riley’s) disapproval, Kirby (Maddison Brown) makes a new friend. Meanwhile, Sam (Rafael de la Fuente) books a very special guest for his grand opening, and Dominique (Michael Michele) seeks quality mother-son time with Jeff (Sam Adegoke).


Gold Rush

9 p.m. ET on DISCOVERY

In the new episode “We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Bucket,” Parker tasks his team with undertaking a huge engineering challenge, while Rick gives his own operation a huge upgrade. Meanwhile, Monica and Mike team up. Elsewhere, as they begin their own season, “Dakota” Fred Hurt and his son, Dustin, decide to split up their team and work on separate claims, theoretically doubling their chances of striking it rich.
