Both a continuation of and a sequel to director Steven Soderbergh’s successful “Ocean’s” trilogy, this 2018 heist comedy from Gary Ross stars Sandra Bullock as Debbie Ocean, sister of George Clooney’s character from the earlier films, who hatches a scheme to hit the annual Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Her crew is played by an all-star female ensemble that includes Sarah Paulson, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter and Rihanna.
As a breed, poodles have a reputation for being pampered, but don’t tell that to Mr. Rags, a senior yet still playful poodle who never has had a human family of his own. Worse, at the moment he’s nursing a broken leg. Never fear, however, Amanda is perfectly willing to make an international trip to make this dog one of her “Second Chance Seniors,” the title of this new episode. She also brings back McGee, a blind dog who has been waiting six-plus years for a forever home.
Amy Schumer is no stranger to self-deprecating comedy, and in this 2018 comedy written and directed by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, the actress stars as Renee Bennett, a young woman struggling with low-self-esteem and poor body image. During an exercise class, however, Renee falls off an exercise bike and knocks herself out. She regains consciousness unchanged physically yet brimming with self-confidence and believing she’s a raving beauty. Michelle Williams, Rory Scovel, Aidy Bryant and Busy Philipps also star in the film, which turned a profit despite lukewarm reviews.
Tim Roth stars in the title role of Jonathan Sobol’s 2018 Canadian drama about a rehabilitated convict forced to go on the run from a determined U.S. Marshal (Nick Nolte) — who also happens to be the Padre’s father-in-law — and his hired gun, a cop named Gaspar (Luiz Guzman). His flight is complicated considerably when he encounters Lena (Valeria Henriquez), a precocious teenager who blackmails the Padre into letting her tag along. Soon, however, the pair become friends.

In fact, the series premiere “Rocket City Revival” sees some past disagreements and tensions already resurfacing.
