Former NFL athlete Colton Underwood, this season’s Bachelor, is hoping the third time’s the charm as Season 23 of this matchmaking reality series gets under way. Underwood previously appeared as a contestant on Season 14 of “The Bachelorette,” but was sent home disappointed at the end. Guest stars in the premiere include Megan Mullally, Nick Offerman, Terry Crews and Billy Eichner.

America’s Got Talent

Terry Crews (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”) takes over as host as Season 25 of this hit series opens its winter edition, featuring some of the most talented acts from “America’s Got Talent” and international franchises of the show that span 194 territories. The lineup includes ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer, Season 12 winner of “AGT”; magician Shin Lim, Season 13 “AGT” winner; opera singer Paul Potts and vocalist Susan Boyle from “Britain’s Got Talent”; and opera singer Jackie Evancho, an AGT finalist. Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel are the judges.

Happy Together

8:30 p.m. ET on CBS

Cooper (Felix Mallard) has only the warmest intent when he gives friends Jake and Claire (Damon Wayans Jr. and Amber Stevens West) an unusually meaningful anniversary gift that features the original vows they took at their wedding. The couple is so moved that they resolve to devote themselves to taking those promises to each other more literally. Unfortunately, that proves easier said than done, leading to unforeseen tensions in the new episode “Vows.”

Kids Baking Championship

9 p.m. ET on FOOD – Season Premiere

Season 6 of this reality competition for junior kitchen wizards opens with “Bakin’ With Bacon,” which tasks the 12 young bakers, ages 9-13, with incorporating bacon into their cupcakes, along with another specially assigned ingredient. But wait, there’s more! In a further twist, they also have to throw in one of mentor Valerie Bertinelli’s favorite ingredients, marzipan. Duff Goldman also serves as mentor. As the season proceeds, watch for new challenges reflecting some of the newest dessert trends.

10 p.m. ET on NBC

Many fans were rocked by the mid-season finale of this sci-fi drama, which saw the shifting of several relationships as Ben and Michaela (Josh Dallas, Melissa Roxburgh) managed to free the hostage passengers from their captors at United Dynamic Systems labs, but NSA Director Vance (Daryl Edwards) was killed and Jared (J.R. Ramirez) severely injured. As the series returns to begin playing its remaining seven episodes, viewers now have some key information the characters don’t: Autumn (Shirley Rumierk) is working as a mole for UDS.
