DRAMA: It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years since this show first premiered. Leaving his true love, Buffy, behind in Sunnydale, the vampire Angel (David Boreanaz) tries to get a fresh start in Los Angeles. Instead, he finds a whole ‘nother breed of fiends waiting to bring out his dark side. Competing for the mirrorball trophy, among others, are actors James Van Der Beek (“Dawson’s Creek”) and Kate Flannery (“The Office”); singers Lauren Alaina and Mary Wilson, formerly of the Supremes; sports stars Ray Lewis and Lamar Odom; reality TV personalities Hannah Brown (“The Bachelorette”) and Karamo Brown (“Queer Eye”); and former White House press secretary Sean Spicer.

TV: The Victim

CRIME DRAMA: This four-part miniseries, airing over four weeks, stars Kelly Macdonald (“Boardwalk Empire,” “Brave”), John Hannah (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “The Mummy”) and James Harkness (“Macbeth,” “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”). Produced by STV Studios, this thriller, shot entirely on location in Scotland, follows bereaved mother Anna Dean (MacDonald), whose young son was murdered by an older boy, 14 years earlier. Years later family man Craig Meyers (Harkness) is pulled into the spotlight when Dean accuses him of the crime and posts his name and location online, leading to him being savagely beaten. Now on trial for his attempted murder, Dean and Meyers’ lives intersect as Dean is relentless in her pursuit to unmask the identity of her son’s killer and Meyers is determined to salvage his reputation – leading to the question of who is the real victim?
