The Untold Story of the 90s

8 p.m. ET on HISTORY
This new two-part, four-hour presentation, which concludes next Sunday, examines how the world of today is still feeling the impact of the last decade before the blazing dawn of the Internet. Tonight’s opening part explores how technology, media and politics all converged in the early 90s, in events as diverse as the fall of the Berlin Wall and the ground-breaking presidential campaign strategy of Bill Clinton.

The Walking Dead

9 p.m. ET on AMC – Season Finale
Showrunner Scott Gimple promises combat-weary viewers that tonight’s Season 8 finale, “Wrath,” will deliver a “conclusion” of sorts to the strife between the Saviors and the alliance of the Alexandria, Hilltop and Kingdom communities. It just may not be the kind of resolution either fans or the show’s character’s want; either way, there will be fallout to deal with next season. The season premiere of the companion series “Fear the Walking Dead,” immediately follows.

Fear the Walking Dead

10:10 p.m. ET on AMC – Season Premiere
When this companion series to “The Walking Dead” was launched, its creators said they expected no overlap between the two shows. Evidently, however, they’ve changed their mind in the interim, because Season 4, which premieres tonight, sees the addition of a character new to this series: Morgan Jones (Lennie James), whose destiny was closely linked for a time to Deputy Rick Grimes on “The Walking Dead.” Other new series regulars include Garret Dillahunt (“Deadwood”), Jenna Elfman (“Dharma & Greg”) and Maggie Grace (“Lost”).
