Helltown (NEW EPISODE) Destination America 9 pm
The picture-pretty town of Boston, Ohio, was completely evacuated by the federal government in 1974, ostensibly because the area was being developed by the National Parks Service. Over the decades, though, rumors have swirled about the area, including speculation that the government had tried to cover up a lethal chemical spill. This two-hour special examines what happened in Boston, now frequently called “Helltown” and associated with satanists, although the latter element is widely dismissed as urban legend.

Halloween Wars (SEASON FINALE) Food Network 9 pm
“Beware,” the season finale, revolves around the last, epic showdown between the two final teams comprising a pumpkin carver, a cake artist and a sugar virtuoso on both sides. Their last challenge is a cerebral head-scratcher: creating an atmospheric tableau that conveys those last final seconds before a deadly danger strikes. Actress Fiona Dourif from the “Child’s Play” horror movie franchise joins judges Shinmin Li and Todd Tucker to decide which team splits the $50,000 grand prize.
